The Community-Based Program Encounters Horses
Last week, our Community-Based programs concluded a four-session class on horsemanship at Xenophon Therapeutic Riding Center, and we had a great time getting to know the horses face-to-face.
Everyone in the class learned how to safely approach horses, how to identify the horse’s body parts, how to brush and feed them, and how to lead them around the barn.
More importantly, they made friends with three very wonderful and gentle horses — and the equally wonderful and gentle humans who led the classes.
