Major Milestone at the Pittsburg Program

This summer, we reached a major milestone by completing the interior renovation at the Pittsburg program — and it looks amazing!

With the help of RC Floors and TaskSquad, we tore out old and damaged flooring and got rid of worn-out furniture throughout the program. Then we laid new flooring that is attractive and easy to clean and maintain.

We made repairs throughout the building, repainted the walls, and renovated the bathrooms so that they are comfortable and effective spaces for everyone. We also added all new desks, tables, chairs, and other key furnishings.

This created comfortable workspaces for small and large group activities, places for preparing and eating lunches, a lounge area on each floor, productive office space, and a beautiful and welcoming new look everywhere you turn!

Our contractors not only did an amazing job of implementing these changes, but they were also tremendously understanding of the needs of our organization and worked very hard to minimize disruption to our daily programs.

Our fantastic team of managers and direct support professionals also did an amazing job of supporting people through this process and working hard to reset our programs in the newly renewed spaces!

This entire project is the culmination of years of work to improve our Pittsburg program and make it ready for the next era in the life of RES Success.

We are so excited to renew this physical space to make it a welcoming, comfortable environment that matches the joy and energy of the people within it.

This project was made possible by generous grants and support from:

  • The Dean and Margaret Lesher Foundation

  • The Keller Canyon Remittance Fund

  • The California Bridge to Recovery Grant Program

  • Our fantastic community of families and supporters, whose partnership makes our work possible every day!

We are continuing this Renewal project and moving our spotlight to the programs on Ferry Street and Las Juntas Street in Martinez. We can’t wait to show you the amazing changes coming to our longest-running programs!
