Celebrating Renovations at Hercules

We recently celebrated the completion of renovations at our Hercules program. We replaced most of the flooring and repainted the walls. On top of this, the program was reorganized, top-to-bottom, to make each room more purposeful and better suited to the needs of the people we support here.

  • Where we once had a woodshop, we now have the beginning of a fitness center and an art and games area.

  • Our lockers came out of the front room and lunch area into the larger common area, maximizing the space in both rooms and making our front entrance more welcoming.

  • The upstairs has been reorganized to create separate spaces for the computer lab, a meeting space, and a quiet sensory area.

  • Our storage area for seasonal items was reduced and reorganized.

  • The workstations for the manager, assistant manager, and support coordinator were reorganized and rebuilt to allow them to better support the program.

As a person-centered agency, RES Success is oriented around the needs and interests of the people we are supporting. That includes organizing our physical space to serve the goals of the individuals who are using this space today — and changing our use of the space as their needs change.

No matter how we use the building, it’s always our goal to create an environment that is as welcoming, engaging, and encouraging as we can make it. We are continuing to make improvements across our agency, to make it the best place that it can be for adults with IDD in our community.
