How You Can Help

Since 1994, RES SUCCESS has provided day service programs for adults with cognitive impairment, autism, and other developmental disabilities. Although we serve the full developmental spectrum, many of our participants are also diagnosed with mental health conditions.  Such individuals often slip through the cracks in the healthcare system and are warehoused in state institutions. We have proven there is a better way.

Our motto, and the job description of every person at RES SUCCESS, is “instilling dignity and respect for greater independence.” This is the cornerstone of our training, our thinking, and our actions; this philosophy is the foundation of our success.

The community recognizes the value of our approach; our waiting list ranges from 50 to 75 in a given year. To help address this, we are expanding our programs by opening a brand new facility in Hercules.

Please help us continue and expand our high quality services by making a donation today, or attending our Artistry for Autism event in November.

With our Recurring Giving program, you can sign up to automatically spread your donations over 6 or 12 months. Or you can donate a lump sum amount. Click here to learn more. Artistry for Autism Annual Fundraiser

Each fall, RES SUCCESS hosts its annual charitable art auction called Artistry for Autism. This event is a fun and worthwhile annual event that will include a comprehensive art gallery by RES SUCCESS students.

Business Participation

Businesses play an important role in supporting RES SUCCESS. Here are some of the ways companies can make a significant contribution to our work.

  • Donate: make a general support gift or a donation targeted to a specific service or program, such as supported employment, or a specific educational curriculum.
  • Be an Artistry for Autism Sponsor.
  • Contribute auction items, products used in our programs, or pro bono services.
  • Match your employee’s gifts through workplace donation programs.

Other Ways to Give

Gifts of Stock can provide much-needed support for our services and can offer you financial benefits as well. If you have owned the securities for more than one year and itemize deductions, you may be entitled to an income tax deduction for the full market value of the securities, and you may avoid capital gains taxes on the sale.  A Bequest allows you to bequeath a specific amount of money, a percentage of your estate, or a specific property to RES SUCCESS through your will. You retain full control of your assets during your life and make a significant gift in support of people living with disabilities.  Life Insurance Policies offer you the opportunity to name RES SUCCESS as a beneficiary to receive all or a portion of the proceeds of a life insurance policy.  Retirement Annuities or Pension Funds may grow to exceed your needs, or you may find they are subject to the federal excise tax on over-funded retirement plans. You can make a current or future gift of these funds to RES SUCCESS.

If you'd like to learn more about any of these options, please contact our office for more information. Also, of course, consult your tax advisor and retirement plan administrator to determine how a charitable gift to RES SUCCESS can be set up to best meet your needs

While the State of California provides important funding for our work, it is the support of our generous individual, corporate, and foundation donors that allow us to provide the highest quality experience for our clients. Click here for our donor list.

Growing emotionally, intellectually, and physically through art, job training, or golf lessons, becoming comfortable in the community through taking public transportation, visiting the farmer’s market and coffee shops, and going bowling or swimming —these are not extras, these are critical components in achieving our mission of helping every client become as independent as they can. And they are made possible by the generous support of our donors.
